V rokoch 2023 a 2024 navrhujú Sepp Lorber a Franz Freundorfer nový prefabrikovaný štandardný prvok pre sériovú sanáciu maloplošných vonkajších stien. Tento základný prvok je možné vyplniť rôznymi izolačnými materiálmi a z vonkajšej strany je zakončený omietkou alebo dreveným obkladom. Okno už obsahuje vonkajšie ostenie, parapet a na želanie aj tienenie. Všetky tieto prvky sú inštalované priamo pri výrobe okien. Integrácia vlastného ventilačného systému smartvent bude dokončená ešte v tomto roku.
Samozrejme existuje aj verzia pre veľkoplošné časti vonkajších stien. Obe verzie je možné kombinovať v systéme smartshell reno.

smartshell reno is the first building system certified by the Passive House Institute as a "renovation system." This serial construction system, detailed with full-scale cross-sections, aims to sustainably increase the renovation rate.
Opaque Building Envelope
The system is specifically designed for building renovation. The investor determines the energy efficiency level at the start of the renovation process, allowing all essential details to be defined early in the planning phase and adjusted as needed to meet project-specific requirements.
Large wall surfaces are efficiently insulated using highly simplified, floor-height wall components up to ten meters wide. For smaller wall surfaces, specially developed base elements are used.
Windows
In this system, the optimized window connection offers the greatest potential for savings. Window jambs and optional sun protection are pre-installed in the window fabrication process. Sepp Lorber and Franz Freundorfer intentionally opt for on-site window replacement, handling windows individually. This approach effectively compensates for large dimensional tolerances, and residents experience minimal disruption, as the new window, including jambs, is installed immediately after the old window is removed.
Airtightness Concept
The airtightness of the walls is ensured by the optimized exterior plaster. Once windows, roof connections, and connections to basement and floor slabs are installed, the first airtightness test is conducted. At this stage, all connection points remain easily accessible and can be adjusted as needed.
PV Modules and Building Services
In smartshell reno, the PV system, heating, hot water, and cooling are integral parts of the turnkey renovation.
